Batch Decolourisation and Treatment of Batik Industry Wastewater Using Acclimatised Culture

The wastewaters from two batik factories were analysed to determine nutrient and substrate concentrations. An acclimatised culture produced from previous studies was used to batch treat the wastewaters. The batch treatments were found capable of reducing colour and COD to levels acceptable for discharge to surface water. [Author's abstract].
