This text employs the solar system-to-stars-to-galaxy approach. The advantages for the intended audiences are many: students move from the more familiar to the less familiar ; the historical development of science can be emphasized ; and the heliocentre/geocentric conflict serves as an excellent introduction to the development of scientific theories.
