Therefore Any Book On Banking Will Be Incomplete Without A Reference To The Functions And Performance Of The Reserve Bank Of India. Chapter Three Is Devoted To The History, Definition, And Functions Of Commercial Banks, While Chapter Four Deals With The Analysis Of Branch Expansion And Deposit Mobilization And Chapter Five Look Into Their Patterns Of Credit Deployment And Investment, Chapter Six Analyses The Financing Of Priority Sector.
