Lazarus and the Hurricane

The Torontonian authors adopted an illiterate black teen from Brooklyn. Lesra, while learning to read, picked up boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter's book "The Sixteenth Round" detailing his unjust imprisonment. Lesra encouraged his adoptive family to seek out Carter in prison and reinvigorate his legal battles to win his freedom.
