The Lower Manhattan Sign Project

"In the Spring of 1991, a newish artists' collaborative calling itself REPOhistory made a proposal to the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. This artists' and writers' collaborative wanted to put signs--historical markers--up throughout lower Manhattan.
