Dr. Emily McKiernan is a caregiver. Nursing her terminally ill mother sent Emily on a career path in the medical field. College, career, and family obligations left little time for romance. In a chance meeting, a cloaked figure hands Emily a special package to protect. With the help of her neighbor, Mrs. Woo, Emily embarks on a magical journey where she learns that earth is not as it appears. Even though creepy spiders guard classified files, Emily bravely searches for clues from the past to help her return the precious bundle. A colony of gargoyles welcome her into a secret world rarely seen by humans. Steampunk gadgets, time changes, forgotten men, and sunny underground gardens was more than she could have ever imagined.
