Modern Compressible Flow

Anderson's book provides the most accessible, readable approach to the study of compressible flow for mechanical and aerospace engineering students. In keeping with previous versions, the third edition is notable for its use of historical vignettes that show the development of the discipline, and for its many photographs and illustrations. The book strikes a careful balance between classical methods of determining compressible flow, and modern numerical and computer techniques (such as CFD) now used extensively in industry and research.
